What’s happening with Christy Poff
Winter 2009
I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and that 2009 is being good to you.
My apologies for not getting a year end newsletter out but between the holidays, a nasty cold and the newest addition to our family, some tasks fell to the side though writing, I’m relieved to say, did not. Sometimes you have to prioritize, especially when characters are ganging up on you wanting their stories told.
News

I’m happy to announce that Whiskey Creek Press Torrid will be releasing several of my titles as well as the Internet Bonds Megabook which includes Black Heart, Charlotte Mastered and Memphis Belle. More on that under release news. The end of the year will be hectic with most of the books coming out then.
In July and September, the second and third books of the Hastings Saga release continuing the story of Andrew Hastings and his angel, Jessie and introducing his second wife, Alexa. The original manuscript worked out to be huge and we decided to split it into two—Death of an Angel -Jessie and Winds of Life - Alexa. The three of them are very near and dear to me and will probably be the ones at the top of my list of favorites.
Sunday $ comes out in August and is set in and around Indianapolis and the Indy 500 while Darkness into Light explores a relationship torn apart but two events out of the couple’s control.
In November, Desires 2 releases including two novellas—Hart’s Desire and Yule Desires. Some of you may remember Yule Desires from a previous publisher. I received the rights back from them and did some rewriting and it now has a home with Whiskey Creek Press Torrid.
I am also privileged and proud to be a part of the next anthology from the Gratista Vampire clan which will be coming in the next few months. My story is entitled Vampire’s Hurricane Ball. What better way for a vampire to feed and not get caught?
Releases
March sees the first two releases of the year—the aforementioned Internet Bonds Megabook (March 1) and Internet Bonds #8: After Glow. After Glow takes place in
Reviews
Bitten By Books reviewed the Eyes of Darkness series. Here are the highlights:
From Megan for Dante’s Flame – 3 tombstones
Dante’s past was written really well, and I could get angry with him about his turning and his experiences. Melanie seemed very sweet…
From Megan for Spark of a Wolf – 3½ tombstones
Spark of a Wolf is the second book in the Eyes of Darkness series. The story line for the serial killer was imaginative, to say the least. It was kind of twisted, but in a good way. I love serial killers but never hope to meet one, if you know what I mean. I did feel that the attraction and sudden love between Sean and Rhi in the beginning was a bit quick. However, Christy Poff made the couple grow together and learn that they had more than just themselves to look out for. Spark of a Wolf can be read as a stand alone book.
From Megan for Love Hurts - 3½ tombstones
This is the third installment in the Eyes of Darkness series. Christy Poff took you from 1409 to 1890 with a few relationships in between. It was interesting to see that Galen was as loving with
From Megan for Red Fire – 5 tombstones
This was the fourth book in the Eyes of Darkness series. Red Fire picks up where book two, Spark of a Wolf, leaves off. After losing the woman he loves to another alpha, Gabriel will find his own mate. What a pair they are, too. Gabriel is the alpha and dominates in this relationship - and it looks good on him, too. Valeria is tough on the outside but has that soft spot for Gabriel and is not afraid to let her guard down around him. These two together could melt the paint on a car and make you cry on the next page. When Christy Poff wrote these two together, she knew what she was doing. We should all be lucky to find love that deep and powerful.

Chrissy at Romance Junkies gave it 5 blue ribbons for Eyes of Darkness #5: White Ice:
WHITE ICE is the fifth book in Christy Poff's EYES OF DARKNESS werewolf series. With characters you can't help but adore, a mystery that captures your attention and a passion that is undeniable this is a perfect addition to an already beloved series. Damon and Sascha face remarkable obstacles that may have been insurmountable if it hadn't been for the support of their friends and family. While Damon and Sascha's relationship is enough to make this a truly enjoyable read Ms. Poff introduces other characters who charm their ways into our hearts as well. Of course we also get to reconnect with some of our favorites from earlier books in the series. I'll definitely be on the lookout for future books in this series with fingers crossed for stories for Constance as well as Mischa.
